I’ve worn a lot of hats working at small outfits. I like the challenges working in that environment provides. On any given day I could be working on a photo manipulation in Photoshop, a logo or icon in Illustrator, or an animation in Aftereffects. Through my work experience and personal passion for learning, I’ve developed and honed many skills.

I love finding solutions to design problems because they are the most intelligent compromise between form and function. Listening to a client’s problems and helping them find the most efficient solution is the best part of any job for me. I’m dedicated to helping all my clients achieve their goals by finding that perfect solution.

2019 – present: Digital Services Manager at Marketing Department in Houghton, MI. WordPress website design and development is my primary focus with a secondary focus on print and logo design. Working here with this great team has allowed me to improve my skills, hone my craft and pursue my personal goals. A recent promotion to Digital Services Manager allows me the opportunity to implement and monitor digital marketing campaigns for multiple clients.

2004 – 2019: Graphic Designer at North Star Publishing in International Falls, MN. Being a small company, North Star Publishing has given me the chance to work on all sorts of projects including award-winning video production and editing, website design, illustration, logo design and graphic layout for everything from business cards to magazines. Here I worked directly with printers to develop a strong understanding of how quality print design is acheived.
